Inception - A Movie that Makes me Think very Hard, even after watching the Movie...

Watched this movie on a Friday night.

It made me think a lot, so much so, I am still thinking about it after watching it for almost a week.

Frankly, until now I am still wondering about the ending. I guess it shows how successful the movie is.

The movie tells about Leonardo DiCaprio who is an expert in bringing the 'target' into a dream which leads to him telling Leonardo a secret. At first it tells of Leonardo who was continuously disturbed by his late wife, and then later more truth were disclosed of why he was going through all these...

The movie kept keeping the audience in suspenses, and there were just more and more riddles, questions coming out of everyone's head. One second you may have thought you solved the mystery but the next you may realize it's not really what you think it is.

But I like the part when Leonardo shared how he and his late wife had enjoyed building their own world in their dreamlands. It tells of many other people in this world, who chose to believe what they want despite the reality not as they think it is. Example, some will choose to selectively hear and accept what they think is the truth (and not what is the real truth).

Seriously, who in this world, likes to believe in the real truth? Most will choose to believe and do what they think is best for themselves.

And I think in the movie, Leonardo is the one who is still trapped in the dream, because he chose to believe the dreamworld is the real world. While his wife had already awaken from her sleep and tried every means to wake Leonardo up.

However, there is another alternate ending too, which tells of the kill-yourself to wake from your sleep method had failed and hence Leonardo himself ended up trapped in his sleep too.

And the biggest irony of it all is the Japanese man who hired Leonardo for the assignment so that he can be the new rising power. Instead, he ended up trapped in his sleep and lost everything.

Come to think of it, is it really worth it afterall?

Planning Jamie's Birthday Party...

Just browsed the different types of cupcakes available.

Wow.. Wow... Wow... Nowadays it's really profitable to make money from kids' events. I finally found something affordable, value for money and looks really nice but sad to say, they have a full schedule on that weekend.

Still thinking about the timing for Jamie's birthday party. Tentatively, it should be on 7 nov 12pm to 3pm or 6 nov in the evening from 5pm to 8pm. It seems that having it during lunchtime is a better choice. And yes, I am still thinking about the venue.

Everything is really not cheap. And many said children of 1 year old hardly remember their birthday party anyway. However, I know there is bound to be some minimum things I will like to do for Jamie...especially now that I finally have some income...

Sighh, sometimes I felt like a useless Mummy who needs to think so hard to decide on what to buy or do for Jamie. I very much wish that I need not have to think so hard... And can give or do whatever I can to or for Jamie...

To make that possible, I must work hard and save hard~~~

Happy Birthday Lucius Korkor...

Biography by Jamie...

Thank you Lucius korkor for inviting Mummy and me to your One Year Old Birthday Party on 17 July 2010. I enjoyed myself so much!

Thank you Mummy for buying me the pretty pretty dress for Lucius korkor birthday! I think I look like the cutest baby at the function, other than Lucius korkor :P

See how sweet I look :D

(yes, Jamie is really so so so vain~!!!)

I love the big portable pool you have which you filled up with balls. Heehee, the balls looked so yummy that I thought they were apples...

I love the purple balloon which Aunty Ivy gave to me :D She is so pretty! Lucius korkor is a lucky boy to have such a pretty mummy!!!

I love your very pretty and delicious looking cake and cupcakes! Though I am still too small to have a bite but they really look so yummy!!! Mummy also told me they tasted great and she can't helped it but eat more of the mini cupcakes~!!!

And I heard Mummy said that she will like to get me pretty mini cupcakes for my birthday too! Hurray! I love Mummy so much!!!

I love the decorations too. And of coz the yummy goodie bags and the cute softoys Aunty Ivy prepared for Lucius's korkor's buddies. I am so proud to be one of Lucius korkor's buddies~!!!

Heehee, I also love the fried rice and califlower which Mummy fed me :D Yummy Yummy...

Last but not least, it's great that I can go for a swim after the party with Mummy, Aunty Sandra and Uncle Fuwei~~~ They are always so sporty and I am really looking forward to Alvern didi to swim with me often :D

Mummy told me a few days ago as she packed my old clothes away, that those are to be given to Alvern didi. I must say I am kinda of jealous but then I really can't wear those clothes already anyway. And it's best that Alvern didi can make full use :) But I am secretly hoping, some Aunty will give me a little sister instead soon, so I can give my clothes to her :D

--------------------------------

I have to say it was really a big big effort to plan for a baby's first year party. First of all, the babies are at the not-here-nor-there age group, hence most of the time, they won't know what is actually going on. And in many cases, the babies may end up being overwhelmed to see so many new faces in one day.

There are so many factors to keep in mind:
1. Theme/Dress Code
2. Location and Timing
3. Targtted group - all relatives? Friends with kids? Average age group of the kids?
4. Number of guests
5. Door gifts? - for adults
6. Kid goodies bag - suitable for all ages
7. photography (and videographer)
8. Invitation Cards
9. Birthday Cake
10. Deco and Cutleries
11. Any Photo/Video Montage of Baby?
12. Songs for the occasions?
13. Activities for the children?
14. Catering
15. Types of gifts preferred?

Hence, I really have to say this: Ivy, you did a great job :D You are a great Mummy~!!! And as always, you are my positive role model :)

Wishing you happy always from now onwards.. And Wish Lucius always healthy, happy and filial to you :) We will always stand by you and Lucius k?

Love you and Lucius very much~!!!

MUACKZ~!!!

Jamie: Aunty Ivy and Lucius korkor, I love you very much too :D MUACKZ~!!!

Backlog Backlog Backlog...

I realised that for the past 2 weekends + this weekend, I had been so so so busy that I am now having lotsa of backlog blogging...

Some may wonder why I should feel back about not blogging up-to-date since it's not a job after all. But I feel quite obliged to myself and all my friends who had been following closely to my blog... And I very much wish to record every bits of memories I can...

But I realized other than having so many appointments lately over the weekends, I myself rather spent more time playing and hugging my lovely little Jamie, than switching on my laptop and write my blogs :(

I feel so so bad about it...

Guess I must really make time for blogging manz.. Coz it's my hobby, so no matter how tired or how busy I am, I should never neglect my hobby...

Hope I can catch up with my backlog blogging soon...

Haizz.. Why not today? Frankly I had a long and busy weekends... And I really need to sleep early because am working tomorrow. Sorry :(

But I am glad I did some updating on Jamie's milestone and did up my expenses chart.

YES~!!! My First Pay is coming soon and I am SOOOOO looking forward to it~~~

And I know most of you are still wondering what job am I in now.

Hahaha, keep you all at suspense first, until I get confirmed in September :)

Wish me luck~!!!

Nitez all :D

Jamie is a big girl now... Happy 8mths old to Jamie ^^

Yes, Jamie is a BIG girl now. She can now sit upright on her own and she had tried many new food. She is a very adventurous girl when it comes to new food and she never hesitate to have a taste of the new food if she is given the choice.

She had tried the following for the last 1 mth.
- cheese
- grapes
- strawberries
- kiwi
- honeydew
- baby yogurt

And she is having a balance diet with two solid food meals a day and milk 3-4 times a day. She gets to eat fruits after each meal too. Wow... She really can eat quite a bit.

Occasionally she gets to steal some rice, some bread (wholemeal white bread), some baby biscuits too... We didn't really control what she can or cannot eat, but simply just let her try. And if there was no sign of allegy, then we will continue with the food.

Tomorrow we are going to let her try egg yolk. Lets hope she doesn't have allergies to egg.

Let's take a look at how mature she has become...

Went shopping with Jamie last Sunday and bought the high chair in the photo, and a playpen mattress which made Jamie's playpen very much more comfy. Now she can sit and sleep in the playpen for a longer period of time.

Noticed her cute little sunglasses? I forgot to bring out her hat and hence bought the sunglasses for her when she had to be under the sun for a while. Isn't it cute?!!

Learning new things everyday...

Time flies, I had worked for a week + 3 days. And everyday is still a new challenge to me. There seemed to be so much that I have to do and can do for my new workplace. But yet I feel really blissful and happy working there.

I had thought my engine must have been rusty after not working in an office for 1.5 years, however, it turned out that I can 'swim' from the moment I was let into this new 'pond'.

I won't say I did a lot so far since I had only worked for 8 days. But then, I will say I believe there are many more things I can do and that I will be able to do too.

I guess some people find me weird. I actually like working. I like feeling useful and adding value and leading a fruitful life, helping another organization to improve their working system etc.

I am very grateful that I have a good helper too. I felt thankful over and over again that I can actually work with no worries at all. Even when Jamie was sick for a few days last week, I know I can trust my helper to take good care of Jamie. Only then I can concentrate fully at work. And yes, I have to keep saying this. I am really thankful that I can find a job so soon, and have a good helper to take good care of Jamie while I work hard to provide more for Jamie...

A Remake of the Predators

I really wonder the need to remake this movie.

First of all, it was not remake in 3D. And secondly, there was no big hollywood actors/actresses in this movie. So I really wonder why did they want to remake the movie. What's worse, was that it was quite obvious it was a budget movie.

What I find really interesting though, is the alien predators catching those who they feel is the predators in the human world to be gamed after. And it was quite amazing to see how the aliens had wanted to win over fair match.

For example, the aliens got rid of the previous survivor who was trying to kill the rest in his hiding place. They did so, so that they can have fair game. And the part when the Yakuzi fought the Predator. It showed how the aliens respected such fair match.

On the other hand, in contrast to the alien Predators, we had this human doctor who use all the scrupulous methods to stay alive and abused good men's kindness. It was really an irony how the same kind can try to kill each other, and not worked together to kill a common enemy.

It also tells of the one that looks most harmless, could be the real serpent in disguise...

Not a fantastic movie but yet I find the morale of the story still not too bad.

Movie Review of Twilight Saga (Eclipse) - Every Girl's Dream

Frankly, I still feel that the movie is a bit slow, especially the parts when Edward and Bella are talking to each other. It was the animal instincts in Jacob that perks up the story a bit occasionally.

I still remember the very first time I decided to watch Twilight, was because there was no other movie to watch. I did not read the story and had no idea what was the story about. When we left the cinema, the first thing that both me and Laogong felt about the movie was that it was SLOW and the storyline was really lame. OR rather, I should say in a nicer way, SIMPLE...

But Edward was then really someone very charming to me. Someone who I thought it's really sweet to have in our lives. Edward was the typical guy with the 'Naughty Look' but yet he was not the player type of man. This makes him more yearn for by all his female fans. And Jacob was then really a turn off because of his long hair. He was pretty skinny too then. Edward, who looked relatively taller beside Bella, was like a knight in shining armour (ironically, he does have a shining body).

I decided to watch Twilight - New Moon, partly because it seems natural to follow up on the part two of the movie. Surprisingly, Edward's drug addict alike pale-coloured, skinny and boney body was a BIG turn-off to me. And I felt that his lips was too red and the face was too pale, compared to the first episode.

On the other hand, Jacob grew so much bigger and fitter and manlier... His short hair made him looked boyish but yet freshing. His toned body made so many girls screamed in the cinema. He was like the unconventional prince on a black horse, always there to fight off any evil for Bella.

Though Edward was still always there for Bella, Jacob's loud expression of love and affection was what really made his fans went crazy.

At first, I really thought the story was lame. Especially when I felt that Bella was no superb beauty. Instead she was simple, plain, don't doll up herself and very clumsy. But yet, there was two men who were so crazy over her. But while I watched the Eclipse, I finally knew the morale of the story.

Yes, the storyline was still simple. But simple it may be, it tells about every girl's dream. Or should I say most girls' dream...

1. Edward had this typical playboy look but yet he was very old school and only will 'touch' Bella after they were married. Such men are largely extinct...

2. Jacob is the typical fun and outgoing boyish guy but yet he has this wild and animal side of him, who thinks aloud about his desires over someone he loves very much.

3. Every girl will like to have a man who has his gentleman/old school personalities and boyish/wild personality at the same time. Every girl will like more than one man to be madly in love with her and want her so badly. Every girl will likes to have more than one man who is willing to die for her. It simply means, every girl will like to feel important in more than one man's heart. It doesn't mean the girls are not contented, it just means they want to feel very very special.

4. Edward was the mature and gentleman type of man every girl likes but at the same time, you may find him a bit too boring, because other than lying on the flowerbed doing nothing, he doesn't seem to have any other hobby.

5. Jacob may seem childish and untamed, but yet he is fun, adventurous and you will never be bored with him. And his expression of love is so loud and verbal! This is every girl's dream, to have a man who enjoy telling her how much he wanted her to be his.

6. It tells the irony of human beings. As much as they wanted to have a man who loved them wholeheartedly and will not even look at other women, but yet when they are given a vampire lover who only have a heart for one girl and will stay loyal to this one girl as long as they live (which is forever), they may find it too boring to face the same face for eternity.

7. Jacob's loud expression of how he thinks it's okay for one person to love more than one person was the animal him who feels it's normal to find more than one person attractive. Isn't this a subtle desire in many human beings to hope they can love more than one person at a time?

8. Bella who seems plain, isn't just any girl on the street? And hence the storyline reflects how any other girl on the street had hope they can be loved by more than one man, or should I say more than one special man.

9. The vampire and the wolf are like perfect rivals. One likes to manipulate (by sucking another's blood and becoming his/her master) and one likes to be manipulated (don't you feel that Jacob just wants to be like a naughty little puppy adored by Bella?)

Seriously I will like to have such a handsome and strong puppy who loves me and me only ^^ And will do everything I want him to do :)

10. The story also talks about the fear that marriage will be the tombstone to romance. Bella expressed how she is fearful of marriage, partly because of her parents's divorce. And partly because she is worried Edward will get tired of her one day.

11. Eclipse also reveals many stories of the other vampire members in the Colin family and how they became who they are. The first two movies had emphases solely on Edward and Alice. And now we get to know more about Jasper and the other female vampire (can't remember her name).

12. Last but not least, the movie revealed that Bella really loved both men, and she chose Edward not because she loved him more, but because she had wanted to find a place she belonged. This also tells of how a child from a divorced family will behave or believe. They will always hope to have their own family or join another family to feel belonged, since they are always insecure or feel unwanted.

I wonder if there ever such a man that is both Edward and Jacob? Hmmm.. well, I feel my Laogong is the closest I can find so far :P Hahaha...

Actually I think every man has a combined personality of both Edward and Jacob. Some personalities are more conscious than the other, and some has another subconscious personality which they may not be aware of.

But seriously, every man will like to manipulate or be manipulated at the right time. It's all about timing and moderation. And if you know how to play the game, you simply can get any man in the world you want :)

And yes, I will want to watch the 4th movie of Twilight if there is going to be a 4th movie :)

Oh yaa, many girls are still screaming in the cinema whenever Jacob took over his shirt or appear topless

First Day as a Working Mother...

When Pyone told me Jamie missed me a lot today and was crying for me in the afternoon, my heart really hurts. But I know I need to work still. I kept reminding myself and Jamie that it's for our own good that I work.

Frankly I enjoyed my first day at work today!!! And I am looking forward to more new tasks and more new things to learn everyday too!

It makes me feel good to be back at a work station and feeling useful to an Organization once again. I think it is very hard for someone has been working since she graduated to really stop working and be a Stay-at-Home Mother. Maybe some women do enjoy staying home and spending 24hrs with their children. But I know after a few months of motherhood, that it is just not me. Even if I am not working full time, I will need my personal time too! I need to meet my friends, go for ladies night out and do my massages/facials or just go shopping alone. I used to be afraid of being alone when I was single, but after I was married and now with Jamie, I really appreciate and treasure every bit of lonely time I have. Sometimes, I wish I can have more lonely time even.

I do miss Jamie and I feel that I appreciate her even more now that I cannot see her so often. I really hope she feels the same too, and not drifted away from me instead. I promised her I will find time to bring her out or even get her to participate in my workplace events especially when she is older.

I had never missed her so much. I practically flew my way home wishing to see her ASAP...I hope to decorate my work station with more of Jamie's photos soon. And Jamie was soo sweet when she saw me! She wants me to hug her all night!!! And guess what, she even woke up early enough to receive a super kiss from me before I set off to work. And tonight she slept early too. Maybe she wishes to receive a hug from me tomorrow morning too.

And yes, I am slowly bringing all my barang barang to work. Feeling very at home already :) The colleagues are really nice. Even helped us to make orange juice for lunch! So nice of them!!! And since lunch is provided so it's really enjoyable to sit around at the table together to eat and chat at the same time. Yeah, no need to squeeze and sweat at the eateries. We can eat in peace at our own pantry.

And we have so many things in the pantry that we will never go hungry. Think we need to be really discipline so as not to put on too much weight. I remember I put on like 4-6kg the last time I worked here. So I really need to discipline myself.

Since we have microwave, steamer, induction stove, juicer, toaster/oven etc etc etc, we can cook anytime we like too! So Cool right!

Really looking forward to grow old in this Organization!

Jiayou Jiayou Jiayou Jolene~!!!
