A New Surprise Everyday...

Hmmm.. I guess I can call myself a SAHM (Stay At Home Mummy) for now :P Coz I had not been working full time since April 2009~!!! Heehee, okay~ I shall call myself that for now :P It's actually not something EVERYONE can do ^^

Being a SAHM is actually very fun~ And even more fun for my case, since I don't have to do ALL the housework :P I only need to wash baby clothes and take good care of baby ^^ Furthermore, I have a New Surprise Everyday~!!!

Watching Jamie grows up everyday really makes me very happy~ What's more, I create a lot of new possibilities for myself too~ I no longer felt caged up at home, instead I can go out whenever I want to :)

Jamie just learnt a few new stunts~

Since CNY, she was attempting her flips and even more so after her visit to Lucius~!!! At first, she was easily irritated by her own inabilities, but now she seemed so determined to succeed in her flips~

When Jamie was younger, she did not really like the Car Seat but yesterday she looked so ENJOY in her car seat~!!! Woo, she is a BIG GIRL now~!!! Hahaha but she still enjoys snuggling up in my lap while she enjoys her car ride looking at the moving clouds and vehicles...

She had been salivating a lot everyday. Some said she may be growing teeth soon and some said it's just part and parcel of her growth. However, I thought it will be nice to give her a teether to bite. And guess what? She loves it~!!! At first, she had problems aiming the teether into her mouth. But after a few attempts, she did it really well! However, since the teether is made of plastic, hence she sometimes will knock it into her own face. I noticed some reddening on her face and at the side of her mouth. Thus, I believe getting her a aqua-teether will be best~!!!

What's more, she can even sit up quite well~!!! Hahaha, it's so cute watching her sit on daddy's chair when she can't even flip yet :P Heehee...

More DayOuts with Jamie~

Heehee,

I enjoyed Dayouts with Jamie alone so much, that I will bring her out as much as possible~!!!

Especially so before I get a full time job.

But secretly, I very much wish to be a long term SAHM... maybe doing freelance property and some online biz to off-load my Laogong on our financial instability. However, it can only be possible if miracles happened, before I find my job. Well, I will just need to enjoy my free time now and make the best of whatever resources I have to see if I can create miracles...

Anyway, I had been bringing Jamie out a lot later, especially to shopping at J8 with my friend, Qiuling. And I love making home visits to other SAHMs too~!!!

And I believe Jamie loves going out with Mummy too :D So much so, I have a feeling, sometimes she is 'waiting' for her next Gai Gai~!!! hahaha...

Not possible to shop with a baby (and her stroller)? Who say so??? I was pretty desperate to get some CNY clothes just before CNY, and jio-ed Qiuling to go with me. I not only bought 1 dress and 1 top for myself, I also bought 2 polo tees for Laogong too~ And lotsa of other baby items~ Which includes some cooling singlets and shorts(for the hot weather) and some baby storybooks~!!! I even get to sit at the CNY outdoor Gei-Tai, and enjoyed the songs~ While Jamie slept happily in her carrier. I guess the more adventures you exposed your baby to, the more adventurous she will become~

Yeah, I really can't helped but buy lotsa of baby items whenever I go shopping. I will then show Jamie all these items when we get home. I bought her some toys during the post-CNY shopping at J8 too~!!! Heehee... and most important some teethers for her to bite...

She seems to love it so much...

And of coz Qiuling loves Jamie's company too~ She even helped me when Jamie pooed during one of our shopping session~ Hahaha, I think most of my friends get very excited when they assisted me in cleaning Jamie each time she pooed. These hands-on experiences actually inspired some of them to wish to have their own babies very soon~!!!

But of coz there were some who got turned off just watching babies cried for milk. I guess it's inevitable for non-parents to feel intimidated or irritated by babies who threw tantrum or cried to get what they want. However, if we are able to view all these challenges positive and sees it as a sense of achievement each time they get to overcome these challenges, or learnt a new parenting skill, it can actually make parenting an enjoyable process :)

See how happy Qiuling looked with Jamie in the Baby Changing room :)

Other than shopping trips, Jamie visited her Lucius korkor and Aunty Ivy on last Wednesday (24 Feb). From the trip, I realised that she had been very deprived lately, because she doesn't have any toys at home~!!! Hahaha...

She was sooo engrossed with Lucius' toys as she laid down on his bumper mar. She did not get her eyes off the musical star sorter for a good 30minutes or more!

See how engrossed she looked... So did Lucius who saw Jamie interested with his toys...

And I realised it's good for babies to interact with each other. Each time Jamie interact with an older baby who can do things she can't, she will come home inspired and wish to experience what she had just learnt.

For example, after Jamie seen few other babies who can flip, she will come home attempting to flip as well! From being easily irritated due to her incapability to showing determination in her attempt to flip, Jamie had managed to progress quite a bit. Hope she will be able to flip on her own very soon...

A Happy Family Day at Laogong Workplace :)

Heehee, some of you must be thinking, How Happy can it be spending your family day at the workplace? But seriously, whether you are happy or not, doesn't depend on where you are, but who you are with. And since we spent the day together as a family, we are very happy ^^

Laogong's school had been selected to be the collection centre on Saturday (27 Feb 2010) for Flag Day. Since he is the teacher-in-charge of the CCA involved in the flag day, hence he has to be on duty. Angela, who was the IC of the collection centre, was also Laogong and my common JC friend. We were chatting on MSN when I found out she was looking for volunteers to help in the event. As I missed doing events very much, in addition to hope to spend time with Laogong, I volunteered myself for the event.

As Jamie missed her daddy very much too, and even protested by staying up till late on Friday night, I thought it will be nice to take it as a Family Day out together. True enough, even though Jamie had to wake up as early as 5.30am on Saturday, she greeted her daddy with a very cheerful and happy smile!

She was also a good girl for the whole day, sleeping in the stroller or carrier after each feed. But of coz, I believed she loved sleeping in the aircon staff welfare lounge the most. Hahaha... See how contented she looked.

Poor Laogong was really tired out the whole day. At least I get to rest on and off because of Jamie. But Laogong had to carry a lot of heavy things and drove around a lot the whole day. Luckily he managed to steal a rest too at the staff lounge before the students reported back at the end of the event.

Jamie was very much the centre of attraction the whole day. Most of the students love her very much and joined in to 'poke' her little cheeks~!!! Angela seemed to enjoy herself as well, doing her duty and having Jamie to entertain her at the same time~ Glad that Jamie was a good sociable girl~!!!

Jamie finally can fit in well into her 2nd hand car seat bought months back. However, I noticed it will be quite irritating for her when the sun is shining right into her face. When I tried to put a cloth over the car seat to shield her from the sun, she actually didn't want it to be there. Hahaha, she really enjoys watching the clouds and cars passed when lying in the moving car.

I came home aching all over and feeling really tired. However, I felt energetic again as I washed Jamie up and cooled her down. She felt so happy after the bath cum
'swimming session' (as I always called it). From a hot and dusty little baby, she had become a cooled and happy little girl :)

Hahaha, but frankly I really wonder if I will be so tired after everyday at work~!!! But I believe, each time I see Jamie greets me with her prettiest smile, I will not feel tired anymore~!!! I love you Jamie~!!!

Gong Xi Fa Cai~!!! Huat Ah~!!!

Gong Xi Fa Cai~!!!

Had been really busy during Lunar New Year and waited till now to find the time to blog.

How's everyone's Lunar New Year?

It's Jamie's first Lunar New Year~ And I think she really loves her angbaos ^^

See how Happy and Curious she looked as she held on to her first angbaos by daddy and mummy on Lunar Chu Xi Night ^^

On first day of Lunar New Year, Jamie put on her new romper by my mother and visited my parents, my godparents and my grandparents. She looked like a little bunny in her new clothes :D And our family colour theme was PINK~!!! See how PINK daddy and mummy looked too~!!!

This year it's really happening in my grandmother's house. There were 3 cow babies born last year in june, august and november respectively, hence beside 3mth old Jamie, there is also 5mth old Kayden and 8mth old Yiming too who are still babies. At the same time, the two mice - my niece Clarisse and Jayden are 16mth and 20mth old respectively.

Take a look at the cuties~

And introducing.. the mummies ^^

I really can't wait to watch the 5 babies grow up together :) It reminded me of the good old days when me and my cousins were still children.

I think Jamie had her fun too~~~ coz it was her first time seeing so many babies together too :) Kekeke and I like this photo best... Hee.. Kayden and Jamie looked so cute as they observe each other...

Yes, support and understanding from friends are one of the primary reasons for me to believe bringing my baby out alone is not impossible. Though tiring, it's a good bonding session for me with her as well. And exposing her to the surroundings at a young age will be a good start for her to get used to crowds and strangers.

Most of my friends will say that I am someone who is very sociable and friendly to everyone. However, I was actually a very shy girl until I got together with my laogong. Yes, I am always very friendly and fun-loving with my close friends. But I was very quiet when I was with strangers. My laogong on the other hand, can talk to anyone on the street... After we got together, I somehow am influenced by him and become more sociable too ^^

I will like Jamie to be like the two of us and loves being around people ^^

In less than 1 hr, Jamie will be 3mths old. She is still wide awake now on the bed. Maybe she is counting down to :P

Lets take a look at how Jamie has changed over time ^^

Jamie's First Blading Session~

Yeah, want to prove to many out there that I can still blade even when I bring a baby along :P hahaha...

I guess there are many possibilities as long as we think out of the box and really be creative. And of coz believe in the unconventional ways of parenthood. And of coz when the situation arise, we must not 'submit to fate'... heehee...

Initially we planned to leave Jamie at home and go for our blading session since my MIL is normally home on Sundays. However, so happened that she just started her english course last Sunday and hence she will not be home in the afternoon to help us with Jamie. I was prepared to give up our blading plan then because it sounds very absurd to bring a baby to ECP to blade and there isn't any emergency care centre on Sundays. However, Laogong was determined that we will proceed with our blading plan since we 好不容易 managed to jio 3 of our blading khakis - Yeewen, Russ and Edmund. Moreover it is my first re-blading session after 2 years~!!! Ya.. I stopped blading in 2008 to be avoided to be under the sun coz of my wedding and in 2009, I was pregnant and couldn't blade too :P

I felt so happy that I can take care of Jamie as well as enjoy my Sunday~!!! See how sweet Jamie looks in her pretty yellow dress. She looks sweet even when she was sleepy!!! hahaha...

Heehee, but first of all, we need to ensure Jamie stayed cool at all times. Inventive Daddy did a Ba-Sha for Jamie's Stroller. Before we set off for our blading session, we kept Jamie under air-con environment as long as we can. We had our brunch at BK before we put on our blading gears..

Was very amazed by Yeewen's fast learning skills. It was only her 4th blading session and she can blade so fast~!!! Since I hadn't bladed for a while, hence I held on to the stroller and blade to balance myself! And Jamie was happily sleeping and enjoying the breeze through-out the session!

We only bladed for 2hrs because the sky was getting darker. We headed towards the Ci-Nai HK Cafe for our Tea break :P And ordered a lot of nice food :P Sweet Daddy took care of Jamie while I chatted with Russ. It had been a while since we last catch up.

I think Jamie had fun last Sunday :P Heehee, of coz lah! She was the centre of attention~!!!
