ADV - Johnny Depp Seeking his Origins by Starring as Tonto in "The Lone Ranger"?

Yes!!! The Movie is finally HERE~~~

What makes me NEED to watch this movie? Johnny Depp, of course! I am his ultra big fan ever since the Pirates of the Caribbean film series... Not only I watched every episode of the film series, I did not miss any of his other movies too, eg. Alice in Wonderland, The Tourist, Dark Shadows etc.

                                                               Pirates of the Caribbean

Alice in Wonderland

The Tourist

Dark Shadows

I always like artists with depth and being good looking is a bonus. I noticed Johnny Depp peculiar preference for movie roles which required him to put on thick make-up or unsightly facial hair, in his later years. This tells a lot about him. He rose from a teen idol in the 1980s from a lead role (with 'clean' facial feature' on the Fox television series, 21 Jump Street, to become a talented film actor whom takes up almost every peculiar character you can think of. But there is something similar about each of these character. Despite looking unappealing, almost every one of them are irresistible.

Left is Johnny Depp starring in 21 Jump Street in the 1980s. See how 'clean' he used to look VS his shabby look  in the Pirates of the Carribean.

Somehow, Johnny Depp seems to feel more comfortable and himself by looking peculiar. I remember the ironical comment Johnny Depp, the lead role, made in the movie "The Tourist". He said that he spent millions to do plastic surgery to achieve the fairly 'cleaner' look in the movie. It subconsciously reflected how insecure Johnny Depp felt when he had no heavy make up on. He might even feels normal only when he doesn't look normal. But it was clever of him to understand that only the 'weirdos' will be remember when the audience walked out of the cinema. I can remember his non-solo lead roles as Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland, the Love throb Vampire in Dark Shadows and Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirate of the Carribean film series, better than his lead roles in Finding Neverland and The Rum Diary.

Love throb Vampire in Dark Shadows

Finding Neverland

According to an interview in 2002, Johnny Depp had suspected that he had Native America ancestry. When I saw that he will be starring as Tonto in "The Lone Ranger", it tells how much he actually believes he does have some distant Cherokee or Creek ancestry. Johnny Depp had always wanted to be himself in all his later movies, and I believe now he is hoping to seek his Origins. Looking forward to watch the movie to spot hints on the outcome of his search...

Don't Miss this Movie if you are a Big Fan of Johnny Depp too!!!

The Lone Ranger

This action-packed film takes the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

Good Old Days?!

Yea, I am describing those days when I had time to actively blog as my 'Good Old Days'.

People who know me, know that I love to 'talk', Hahaha, 'talk' in my blog.

Yes, I love to write so I guess this is the right hobby for me.

Those days when I was not working, I could blog almost every other day. I could also blog about every other thing. Now that I am in a 'sensitive' position, there a lot of topics I am not sure if I should blog about it, though I have much to say or share my thoughts about.

Well, I am grateful I have a stable and meaningful job. Though every other day, we may receive phone calls from screaming clients, I still feel grateful about it. Why? Coz it shows that people still care. It's because they care, that's why they are making noise. It's because they know things could be better, thus they try to give us feedback, hoping it helps to make things better. But often or not, they may not know how to put their messages across. They might have thought we would be defensive when they made feedback or gave 'suggestions', hence they tried to be nasty and push their luck.

Well, you really need not be nasty to us. We are just like you. An employee who hopes to find meaning in one's job and hope to make some difference in the industry. As much as you wish we can stand in your shoes to understand your concerns, please do try to stand in our shoes too to understand us too.

Hehe, I know I am not like other bloggers who have lots of pretty photos and a pretty blog layout. My blog is definitely very wordy, not many photos and plain layout. Hence I am really thankful and grateful to those who had 'followed' me since 2009. I hope to continue to write/blog and to share :) I hope you all can continue to watch my children grow up and watch me grow wiser :P

Loves all who read my blog ^^

Staying Indoors and Bonding with Kids

3-hrly PSI at 8pm was 75 and 24-hrly PSI at 8pm was 79-102.

Sky was clear and Sun was shining bright :)

Jamie was bored and restless at home and asked if she could go to the playground 'awhile'. I asked if her friends were wearing face masks in school and did teachers explain why they could not have outdoor activities for the last one week. She nodded.

Sigh, I guess it's really hard on the children, not being able to be out in the sun and exercising their active souls... Lucky Jamie could easily be contented by watching TV and painting all day... But I don't think she can last another few weeks indoor :(

Seriously, I can't too! Haha! Laogong and I went for Movie on Thursday and we did see many other people at Vivocity too. I then wondered why there were people nagging non-stop about the haze and that they are 'suffering'...

I don't see people literally suffering. Or maybe I did not go to the 'right' place to see. Yes, there are old folks and needy suffering because they do not have enough money to buy face masks, but I believe the government agencies and grassroots did not forget them. True enough, face masks were shortly given out to those who cannot afford to buy one. For those who can afford to buy one and those who are healthy and strong, please stop complaining and source for your own face masks. Internet is so easily accessible these days, if you can get it off-the-shelf, get it online.

Beside, no one expects the haze to go out of control. It's not something that happens every year in Singapore. PSI was never above 200 in the past years. It has nothing to do with NEA nor any government agencies. We all know who cause the haze and still causing it. Please point your fingers at the right culprit(s). Stand unite and let them hear our dismay. Support to punish those who cause the haze. Seek and Suggest solutions to help others in greater need.

Anyway back to staying indoors. Actually staying indoor occasionally is not a bad idea too. Especially so for me this weekends, because my helper had her dayoff from 9am to 7pm today.

Situation was not as bad as I expected it to be. Maybe because I always prepare for the worse, so I feel less upset if situation was not as bad as I had prepared myself for.

It was very tiring to carry James almost the whole day. But I was proud of Jamie whom prove herself as a trustworthy big sister. She was very helpful and took good care of James when I had to do housework. I didn't want my helper to think I left everything in a mess for her to clear up after her day-off, so I tried to do simple cleaning up too. And of coz, I need to train myself up too, afterall I won't know when I may end up with no helper :( I wish it will never happen though :P Hahaha... But it's very hard to predict the future...

Maybe one day I can be job-free or be a full time blogger cum stay-home-mum without a helper? :P

Anyway, I hope my children enjoyed the bonding time with me today, as much as I enjoyed mine with them :) It was good feeling watching James slept in my arms and Jamie resting on my lap ;)

#3? Hmmm.. I doubt I can get a permit for this leh... So, I think the answer is 'I don't think so...'

For now, I guess I will just concentrate in juggling my job, my family, my marriage, my blogging, my friends and my 'hobby' well :D Oh yes, and slim down........ SLIM DOWN!!!!! I tried almost every method I can think of already :( Pills, Diet... watever... There are results but not significant results as far... So if anyone need a spokesman, hahaha or a guinea pig... Please please, drop me an email (jolene428@gmail.com) ^^

Hazy Bad Weather

I am back!!!

Actually back since Monday night but was busy catching up with the kids. Really miss them lots! And now very worried about their health.

Wanted to complain about how hot Taiwan was during my trip. It was 32-34 degree Celsius almost every day! So hot until we refused to shop much at night markets Lolz

But I decided to say 'lucky I was at Taiwan for 4 days' since I heard about the haze condition. Laogong and I were looking out of the plane window wondering why we can't see Singapore. Usually we can see Singapore even at night because we are well-lit. When we stepped out of the airport and smelled the air, we thought to ourselves 'Shit!'

The haze is not only back but it had hit the new highest point :( Really hope this situation will get better soon.

People are asking why we still need to work. I guess we cannot afford to affect the economy? I guess if schools have to close, we may even need to work harder.

Most of us are staying awake as we know we may have a battle to fight tomorrow... But guess we need to rest even more so that we can fight harder!

Share more about my two trips soon!

Haha! It's all about the haze for now.

Mummies do stay indoors with the children k?

Nitez Nitez!

4 days more!!!

4 days more to my Taiwan trip!

Hahaha and we are still so unprepared! Last night, I listed out the 'must go' places and I was supposed to buy a map today! Haha but I was busy rushing work and ended up eat-in...

I think it is very unlikely of me to stay this cool coz I am one of those who cannot stand 'uncertainty'. However I kept reminding myself it's ok and things will just work out.

I was just telling my friends that as we grow older, we become too cautious and less adventurous when it comes to overseas travel. I remember my laogong and I used to go for impromptu trips before we got married. We would just hop onto any available bus from Larkin terminal to KL. We even took 30hrs of bus ride to BKK for our ROM trip in 2006. It was so exciting and everything was unpredictable. I guess as we have more to lose, we become too 'kiasi'.

I will really hope we can relive our good old days during this trip :)

Countdown to Taiwan!

Yes!!!

This is the first time we decided on such a last minute long trip! For a second I was lost. But the next moment I was very happy!

Laogong is really sweet to suggest this trip, knowing that I was very stressed with the new routine.

I know this will sound funny but I had always aspired to b a super mum. A mother who can take care of the household, the kids and perform well at work. I was really upset with myself for not being able to achieve this aspiration yet. I was so upset that every few days I cried because I felt very lousy and worthless.

However, Laogong told me everyone has their choices and definition of super mum. Being able to sustain a stable income, have time for the kids and manage the household with the helper's assistance is also something not easily achievable. Hence Laogong told me I must be proud of my current 'achievement' too :)

For this, he said I deserve a good break from coping well as far, since I started work.

Not sure if I will be able to plan an itinerary before the trip (14-17 June), but I believe we will have as much fun exploring Taiwan without an planned itinerary!

Taiwan!!! Here I come~~~!!!
